As the child of a parent with mental illness I understand the stress a child undergoes when things at home don't always feel stable. I believe we can create programs for children undergoing this stress that is often overlooked.
The Holocaust in Latvia
The Holocaust was a horrific and very confusing time for not only Latvians but many of the Baltic states as well. After being controlled by Russia, Germany invaded Latvia disguised as a savior only to further hurt the country. Latvia is one of the countries we don't really learn about in relation to the Holocaust, yet it is where the second largest massacre (excluding the final solution in the camps) occurred. This paper explains the harsh affects and turmoil the Holocaust caused in Latvia.
